Messaging Policy

Responsible communication starts with reaching the right people.

Last Updated: August 12, 2026

SENTO is built for organizations that want to communicate with people who have chosen to hear from them. This Messaging Policy explains the standards that apply to communications sent through the SENTO platform.

Our goal is to help organizations reach their audiences effectively while protecting recipients, customers, and the reliability of the SENTO platform.

1.Permission-Based Communication

Only message people who want to hear from you.

Customers may only send communications to recipients who have appropriately opted in to receive the type of communications being sent. Customers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining appropriate consent before uploading contacts to SENTO.

Not allowed

  • Purchased contact lists
  • Scraped contact lists
  • Harvested phone numbers or email addresses
  • Randomly generated contacts
  • Lists obtained from third parties without appropriate permission
  • Contacts who have not agreed to receive the type of communication being sent

SENTO may request information or documentation showing how a recipient opted in to receive communications from your organization.

2.Clear Sender Identity

Messages should clearly identify the organization or business sending them. Customers should make it reasonably clear to recipients who the communication is from.

Customers may not

  • Impersonate another organization
  • Misrepresent the sender
  • Use misleading sender identities
  • Attempt to hide who is responsible for a message

3.Opt-Outs and Unsubscriptions

Customers must honor recipient requests to stop receiving communications.

  • SENTO may automatically process STOP or other unsubscribe requests.
  • Customers may not intentionally bypass suppression lists.
  • Customers may not re-upload opted-out recipients for the purpose of sending them additional marketing messages.
  • Customers are responsible for respecting applicable opt-out requirements.

If you no longer want to receive communications, follow the unsubscribe instructions provided in the message.
